Recently, WIM Mongolia was part of the ``Work place – Harassment free environment'' national consultations organized by the Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights the purpose of which was to promote synergies between various civil society groups and the Government for creating and maintaining an effective legal environment for eliminating and preventing gender-based workplace harassment. According to the studies presented during this discussion, 95% of victims of workplace harassment were women, mostly 18-30 years old, of whom 48.1% were civil servants, and 57.6% of offenders were civil servants as well. Representatives of the state and non-governmental organizations including WIM Mongolia, international cooperation institutions, some foreign embassies, trade unions, industry groups and larger companies discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to elimination of gender-based workplace harassment in Mongolia.
