In March, Ambassador of Hungary to Mongolia Dr. Borbala Obrusanszky hosted a meeting with WIM representatives at her Embassy.
A renowned historian, ethnographer and orientalist, Dr Obrusanszky is a alumni of National Mongolian University and participated in several scientific expeditions in Mongolia, Inner Mongolia and other parts of Asia. She also serves the deputy editor-in-chief of the Journal of Eurasian Studies journal, and is the author of publications in Hungarian and foreign languages on the subjects related to Hungarian and Mongolian history.
We had an enjoyable meeting discussing various matters of mutual interest.
WIM greatly appreciates Dr. Obrusanszky‘s academic and professional achievements and her dedication to develop Hungary – Mongolia relations. We wish her and her Embassy staff all the success in their work

IWIM and the global WIM community held the inaugural WIM Summit which brought together 225 leaders of more than 70 WIM organisations across the world. Over the two days of the Summit in March 1 - 2, 2021,  we participated in 16 live sessions and networked via the event platform.

WIM Mongolia took part with 3 participants while our chairwoman N.Tumenbayar moderated the Roundtable on Inclusive Workplace Design, together with Kate Finch from Australia. This Roundtable discussed historical and current experiences of design upgrades within mine sites that are believed to promote increase of women in the workforce of the mining industry.

The Summit launched the International WIM Alliance – a pioneering initiative that brings WIM organisations together to leverage our collective strength.

We congratulate IWIM and all WIM associations for this global team work, opportunity to empower ourselves, new ideas and networking!
